Hello, my name is Takashi Fukushima !
I am a master student in Sports and Exercise Science !
My focus in my major is Exercise biology, Biomechanics, and Sports informatics !
My interest
Technology has been improving and enabling us to collect a lot of data from human during exercise. Such data include lactate concentration, sprint speed, kicking force … etc
From the data, I am very excited to know what is going on in our human body during exercise or sports.
In other words …
What does the data tell us ??
Current work
Kinematic analysis from Pose Estimation.
OpenPose is a great tool to estimate human body segments and joint locations from a recorded or real-time video.
From the data point on the video, I can find …
Joint angle in a gait cycle (for example, right hip)
Center of mass
Stride length
Kinematic analysis from Posenet
Posenet is another tool to estimate human pose !
I can conduct the same analysis as described above !
Kinematic analysis from ARKit
ARKit is an augmented reality development platform by Apple.
The platform provides API (Application programming interface) to build an application with augmented reality.
Unlike pose estimation, it can track human body in 3D. Therefore, I can conduct more sophisticated analysis such as kinetic analysis (Still working on).
Soccer match analysis
This plot represents which player controls certain space in a soccer field based on voronoi diagram !
This is just ongoing analysis. Besides this, I have done running performance analysis (How much each player ran => Total distance, A number of sprints … etc) from tracking data.
Other work
I have done many other works !
You can watch my YouTube video and other blog pages to see what I have done !
There are more videos and blogs …

Play list: Electromyography
Play list: Soccer statistics
Summary
Thanks for reading through my blog page !
As you have seen on this blog, I know how to collect and analyze data because that is my passion !
The analysis can help athletes with performance improvement or patients with solving health-related problems (And of course there are many other applications from the analysis!).
My knowledges and skills play a significant role especially in back-end programing in web application or smart phone app development.
Also, I can write a HTML and SCC code (Guess how this blog has been customized !)
Have a nice day !
