こんにちは！
今回は今話題沸騰中の映画『天気の子』の主題歌である『愛にできることはまだあるかい』RADWIMPSの英訳に挑戦してみました！
7月19日に新海誠監督の映画『天気の子』が公開された瞬間にこの曲を英訳してみたいと思いました。
以前にRADWIMPSさんの『前前前世』の英訳に挑戦したのですが、このRADWIMPSさんの曲も意味が物凄く深い歌詞が並んでいて、英訳できるか不安です。

というか、日本語ですら理解できているか分からないのに、英語でなんて…とか思いながら挑戦したいと思います。
後でヒーヒー言いながら訳すくせに、訳す前はめっちゃ楽しみです。

いかがでしたでしょうか。
最初から最後まで何が何だか分かりませんでした。
世界観を見つけられなかった私の能力不足と英訳のレパートリーの少なさを実感しました。
私にできることは翻訳ではなかったのかなぁ…
でも、他に出来ることがまだあるはずなので、それを探しつつ翻訳力を向上させていければなと思います。
最後、がっつり歌詞に勇気をもらった感想になってしまいましたが、何かこういう風に訳せばいいんじゃないの？みたいなのありましたら、優しく教えて下さい。
